The private copyright (fair use) is different in every country, but in general you are allowed to copy a TV broadcast for your mother or a friend as long as you don't ask them for money.

YourOpenMedia is a network of friends. Most people know each other directly or by friends and by there friends. And how often did you copy a DVD or CD of a friend. Legal - as a private copy between friends.
This means for YourOpenMedia: The more friends you have the bigger is the chance to find your favorite movie and to get a private copy.

You'll need only the Cryptor/Decoder cryptor53.zip [6.224 KB]
After a file has been encrypted with the cryptor53 nobody can claim copyrights anymore on the key file.
You can publish now the file without publishing the file content
The original content (movie, music etc.) will be recovered only on the computer of authorized users.
With new way of YourOpenMedia and cryptor53 this is only the owner of the file or friends or their friends.
One limitation for Germany: The sharing of software and games is not allowed, even with friends.

1. If you are using the cryptor53 for the first time you have to create an account on www.YourOpenMedia.com
2. Start the cryptor53 to encrypt a file, select a file and click on "Encrypt".
The encrypted .YOM file can be renamed and anywhere published for download. E.g.
- Emule Networks
- Torrents
- Filehoster, see here long list
3. Add the download link in YourOpenMedia
Files that have been encrypted with the cryptor53 are listed automatically in your user area "My Yom" of www.youropenmedia.com.
As long as you didn’t ad a download link for your encrypted file it is not visible for other users than you.
Only after adding a download link your friends and their friends are able to see, download and decode this file.

The decoder for .YOM files is integrated in the cryptor53. You can switch between the two modes by clicking the toggle button.
The decoder verifies with your YOM email address and password if you are authorized to read the content of the encrypted file.
The file will then be decoded and saved on your local computer
The original file name will be restored.
